The logo of this website is a man \ standing on top of a chart looking upwards to the word:"Statistical Literacy". This word is on the top of the tallest bar of the chart in the sky, which point to progress and excellence.

The website is designed in two layers which are accessible for everyone free of charge. The first layer contains four pages, with links available at the top of each page with following titles: main page, educational resources, statistical literacy and nomination in website.

In this layer, users get familiar with the term statistical literacy. The main goal of this layer is to motivate visitors to register in the website by showing the importance of the statistical literacy by the use of statistics in economic news, competitions, a poem, statistical jokes, and introducing some books about statistical literacy, news of statistical literacy, etc.

First page: "Main page"

The first page of the website contains two files in pdf format with the following subjects: "statistical literacy in last week’s news in journals and newspapers", and "Statistical literacy in economical news over the last month".

These two files are updated every week/ month and many visitors like to read these reports.

Two competitions about statistical literacy are available in this page.

Additionally, a triangle is designed by webmaster which mentions the following concept:

Statistics = correct information

Statisticians = ?

Statistics reader = ?

By using this triangle, the website is trying to make visitors question that although there are not mistakes in the statistics, there may be in the two other parts of this story? It is called the "Statistical literacy triangle".

The website recommends visitors to nominate in the website that they will

Receive new materials by email.

Second page: "Educational Resources"

This page contains:

Mr. Ban Ki-Moon’s message about World Statistics Day, two books about statistical literacy in Farsi (Persian) and news about seminars, workshops and talks on statistical literacy.

Third page: "Statistical Literacy"

This page contains a link to the second layer which is a Persian online Statistical literacy journal, a text to introduce statistical literacy and a poem about it. This poem mentions that if people are not aware of statistical literacy, then the whole of their life will be Vulnerable somehow and the two last lines recommend youth to follow the statistical literacy for a better future life.

Forth page: "Nomination in Website"

This page is linked to a database that gets the email address of visitors to inform them about new materials and articles on the website and to prevent them wasting time.

The second layer is an online journal. We put this in a separate layer to be used by the visitors who are attracted by the first layer. Users can read articles about statistical literacy in different volumes of the journal. In this layer, each volume has its own page and the logo of the journal is as follows:

Because translation of the word "statistics" in Persian is "AMAR" and

"MAR" in Persian is "SNAKE" in English, so the logo is a snake reading a book. In the book, we can see the number of volume in Persian! This logo is interesting for Persian people. The articles are in different electronic formats like: pdf, Flash and Movie.

This website successfully lead to the Iranian Statistics Society accepting statistical literacy as one of the main sessions of Iranian statistical conference which is takes place every two years.
